About Smoking Areas Seoul

Smoking Areas Seoul is a free map that helps you quickly find a place where you are allowed to smoke in Seoul. It brings together the smoking area data published by the Seoul city government and its districts, plus cafés whose official store finders list a smoking room.

What you can find

• More than 1,300 outdoor smoking areas, smoking booths and indoor smoking rooms from open data
• Cafés with a smoking room, from the chains' official store finders
• Places added by users

Data and accuracy

When a record comes with coordinates we use them as they are. Otherwise we locate the building with the VWorld address search run by Korea's Ministry of Land. So a pin marks a building or address, and the actual smoking spot may be a short walk away, behind the building or on the roof. Records were collected on different dates, so always check the signs on site.

Help keep it current

If a smoking area is gone, report it from its details. After reports from 3 different users it is hidden from the map automatically. You can add new places after signing in with Google.

Some districts, such as Dobong-gu and Geumcheon-gu, publish no data yet, so they show fewer places. We keep adding more.
